OpenAI Adds Five Ads Updates, Including Product Feed Bulk Uploads and Seven New Markets

An AI robot selecting items from an interface that floats in the air

OpenAI’s latest Ads Manager updates are aimed at five everyday advertiser tasks: setting up product-feed campaigns, checking product reviews, measuring conversions, managing business names and reaching users in more markets.

For retailers, bulk uploads could cut down on repetitive campaign setup. The reporting update gives teams another way to examine attributed actions without changing what a campaign is optimizing for. And if you’re planning to advertise across borders, the expanded list of markets is a prompt to check availability before you build a launch plan around it.

Five updates, three areas to check

Conversion reportingRetrieve attributed events beyond the campaign’s selected goal through the public Insights API.
Separate account namesManage the internal account, public brand and legal business names independently.

These changes touch setup, measurement and account operations. The bulk-upload and name controls live in Ads Manager; the expanded conversion detail is for teams using the API. If you’re tracking OpenAI’s ad platform changes, Parker-Lambert’s earlier coverage of OpenAI’s advertising updates provides more background.

Build product-feed campaigns in bulk

You can now create multiple product-feed campaigns and ad groups from a spreadsheet in Ads Manager. OpenAI says it automatically generates ad templates as part of the process.

To get started, go to Campaigns → Bulk uploads, choose Bulk sheet, then download the Product feed template. The spreadsheet gives you a way to set up multiple campaign and ad-group structures together rather than repeating the same steps one at a time.

Before uploading, check the sheet’s values against your campaign plan. Campaign names, product selections and settings are easier to catch in a spreadsheet than after a batch has gone live. Bulk entry makes setup faster; it also lets a small mistake travel in a larger group.

Check product review status in Ads Manager

If you have product-feed campaigns, you can now view product review status in the Products tab. OpenAI says the view helps you track products through review and understand why products have been rejected.

That gives you a place to investigate product eligibility instead of treating the feed as one all-or-nothing upload. If a product is rejected, check the reason and the relevant product information before making campaign plans around it. A feed can contain plenty of items and still leave you with fewer ready-to-advertise products than you expected.

Report conversions beyond the campaign goal

The public Insights API can now return attributed conversion events beyond the goal selected for a campaign. OpenAI’s example: you can report attributed purchases while optimizing for a different event, without changing the campaign’s conversion goal or optimization settings.

That distinction matters when you want to compare outcomes without asking the campaign to optimize for a new one. For example, a team might keep its existing optimization event while also reviewing purchase activity in its reporting. The additional data gives you a wider view of attributed actions; it doesn’t quietly rewrite the campaign settings.

If you use this data in internal reporting, label the selected campaign goal and the additional events clearly. That makes it easier for someone reviewing the report to tell which outcome guided delivery and which outcomes were included for analysis.

Keep account, brand and legal names separate

You can manage the three names independently under Settings → General. They serve different purposes, and changing one can have a different effect on ad delivery than changing another.

NameWhere it appears or what it’s forEffect of a change
Account nameYour internal name for identifying the account in Ads Manager.Doesn’t trigger review.
Brand nameThe public name shown with your ads.Pauses ad serving until the change is approved.
Legal nameYour registered business name for billing and verification.Restarts business review and may pause ad serving.

Before changing a name, decide which field needs an update. A rebrand belongs in the public brand-name field; a correction to your registered business details belongs in the legal-name field. If you’re only tidying up the label your team uses internally, the account name is the one to check. The review consequences are different, so it’s worth taking a moment before clicking save.

ChatGPT Ads expand across Southeast Asia and Taiwan

OpenAI says ChatGPT Ads are live in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Taiwan. That opens more regional opportunities for advertisers whose products, shipping and marketing plans support those markets.

Check OpenAI’s current market availability information before building your plan. Market access can change, and the place where you want to reach users may not tell you everything you need to know about whether your business can advertise there. Confirm availability for your account and target markets before committing budget or campaign dates.

For brands, being able to reach a market is only the first check. Review local product availability, pricing, shipping and the fit of your campaign message before expanding. A country appearing on a list is useful; it isn’t a substitute for the parts of an international plan that live outside Ads Manager.

Questions advertisers may have

Does reporting additional conversion events change campaign optimization?

No. According to OpenAI’s update, the Insights API can return attributed events beyond the campaign goal without changing that goal or its optimization settings.

Which name changes can pause ad serving?

A brand-name change pauses ads until approval. A legal-name change restarts business review and may pause serving. An account-name change does not trigger review.

What should I check before planning a product-feed campaign or a new market launch?

For product-feed campaigns, review product status and rejection reasons, then confirm which products are ready for your plan. For a regional launch, check OpenAI’s current market availability information before setting budgets and dates.

These updates are practical changes to setup, reporting and account management. Review the details that affect your campaigns, then make changes in the right place. Tell Parker-Lambert about your brand and ask about a custom quote for your project.
