Amazon Has Two Deadlines on September 30. Here's What Brand Sellers Need to Check Before Then.

September 30 is shaping up to be a busy day in Seller Central. Two separate Amazon requirements go live on the same date, and if you sell multi-pack bundles or fulfill your own B2B orders, at least one of them applies to you. Neither involves a grace period on the day they hit , so the time to check your exposure is now, not the week of.

The Bundling Policy Expands to Every Category

Amazon has required manufacturer-packaged bundles in consumables categories since late 2024. On September 30, 2026, that requirement extends to most product categories across the entire catalog. The rule is straightforward: bundles must be product configurations packaged by the original manufacturer or brand. If you or a prep service assembled the bundle yourself, it's non-compliant.

Non-compliant listings may be suppressed starting September 30. Amazon says it will notify sellers by email and flag issues on the Account Health dashboard under Listing Policy Violations. There are three exceptions: gift baskets listed in gifting browse nodes, camera bundles listed in camera product types, and bundles where you have a valid letter of authorization from the brand owner or manufacturer.

The letter of authorization exception is worth knowing. If a brand authorized you to bundle their products, you can submit that letter through Account Health once a violation is detected. It won't prevent the suppression from happening, but it gives you a path to reinstatement. The cleaner move is to identify non-compliant ASINs now and either sell through the inventory before September 30 or remove it from your fulfillment center.

If your catalog includes any DIY multi-packs or bundles you put together yourself, check your listings this week. A suppression on September 30 that could have been avoided is the kind of thing that tends to haunt people through Q4. Our team covers Amazon catalog management if you want a second set of eyes on your ASINs before the deadline.

Business Hour Delivery Rate Becomes a Hard Requirement

The Business Hour Delivery Rate, or BHDR, has existed as an informational metric in Seller Central for a while. On September 30, it becomes a compliance requirement for seller-fulfilled orders going to Amazon Business customers. The threshold is 90% , meaning at least 90% of your FBM shipments to B2B customers must arrive during the customer's operating hours, measured over a rolling 14-day period.

FBA orders are completely exempt. This requirement only applies if you're fulfilling your own orders and those orders are going to Amazon Business customers at commercial addresses. If your FBM volume to B2B customers is negligible or zero, you can skip this one. If it's not, you'll want to find your current BHDR score in Account Health under Program Eligibilities before September 30.

The enforcement is two-stage. Sellers below 90% on September 30 get a warning and recommendations, not an immediate deactivation. If the rate hasn't improved by October 30, seller-fulfilled offers for Amazon Business customers can be deactivated. FBA offers and standard consumer retail offers stay live either way.

Amazon's own shortcut here is worth knowing: if you use Automated Handling Time, Shipping Settings Automation, and Amazon Buy Shipping together, your orders are automatically protected from the BHDR requirement , even if the carrier delivers outside business hours, as long as you shipped on time. That's not a trick, that's the stated policy. Sellers who already use all three tools don't need to do anything else.

What to Do in the Next 27 Days

Start with the bundling policy. Pull a list of your current bundle ASINs and identify which ones weren't packaged by the manufacturer. For anything that doesn't qualify for an exception, you have two options before September 30: sell through the inventory or remove it from FBA. Delisting yourself is cleaner than waiting for Amazon to suppress you.

For BHDR, check your current score in Account Health under Program Eligibilities. If you're already above 90% on B2B shipments, confirm the score is stable. If you're below 90%, look at whether enabling Automated Handling Time, Shipping Settings Automation, and Amazon Buy Shipping together gets you protected. If you're mostly FBA, this one probably isn't your problem.

Two deadlines on the same date is a little on-brand for Amazon's September. If you'd like help auditing your catalog or your fulfillment setup before the 30th, schedule a call and we can work through it together.
