Audrey’s Chia Cookies Product Photography: Before and After

We’re helping one of our latest clients, Audrey’s Chia Cookies, improve their Amazon brand presence. The first step has been to create a new set of product photography. Their existing photos weren’t too bad, but we saw room for improvement.

For the hero shot (“product on white”, or POW) for use on Amazon, InstaCart, and their own consumer direct site, we placed the product in front of the packaging. This helps the customer understand the relative size of the product they’re getting. We also added shadows to avoid the “floating in space” look that you see with a lot of POW product photography.

Here’s the before and after for the POW:

We created not just hero shots, but a full set of lifestyle photography and illustrations.

With the new carousel, we addressed some issues with readability on mobile devices, and made sure that all the product messaging points were covered. It’s important for Amazon carousels to tell a story not with just photography, but with callouts and graphics, because customers may not take the time to read product bullets or scroll down to the A+ content.

A great set of photos is just one part of the requirements for a complete Amazon brand presence. Here’s a quick list of everything you need. If you’d like to learn more about the types of product photography and product imagery we offer, here’s a short guide.
