Universal U Ashwagandha Chew Amazon Launch
We helped our friends at Universal U launch their entire brand on Amazon last year. When they were ready to add their first new product line to the brand since its launch, Ashwagandha Chews, we were happy to help.
For the carousel infographics, we followed the outline and design language we developed for their first line launch. The infographics cover the product’s benefits in clear language, and use dynamic, appealing images.
Small items like capsules, pills, and chews are notoriously difficult to photograph… and that’s why we didn’t bother. Instead, we created highly detailed 3D models of the chews, which allowed us to easily arrange and rearrange them until the images were perfect. In the CPG and supplement categories, placing the product itself (in this case, the chews) alongside the packaging on the main image gives the customer an accurate sense of scale, so they don’t get a package that’s smaller or larger than they expect. Placing the product alongside real-world items (in this case, a hand) makes it extra clear.
And, in fact, we didn’t go to the photo studio at all. The packaging is also rendered, and the lifestyle images are stock.
Choosing lifestyle images can be tricky. Images which you happen to like might not be images that appeal to your target audience. That’s why we didn’t leave it to chance, and performed Consumer Insights testing, showing a variety of variations of the lifestyle infographics to customers in the target market. With Amazon being such a competitive marketplace, CI testing is absolutely essential. We’re huge fans of it.
